KSdigital KSD 2040

€8000

Coaxial, linear phase 3-way reference speaker with digital equalization

The KSD2040, as well as other members of the KSD-home series, a direct adaptation of a successful studio monitor model for the home. The used 8'' (20cm) coaxial chassis transfers from the root area of all frequencies

This and the linear phase, ie time-accurate playback alike, deliver a plastic virtual stage with extreme spaciousness. The midrange diaphragm of the coax chassis serves for sound management of the tweeter and direct the sound directly to the listener.

The two 8'' bass drivers give lower octave in the bass, thereby supporting the vitality and joy of the pulse Coaxchassis by their immense membrane surface. The use of the F1-material carbon in our chassis prevents breaking (membrane no longer oscillates as a single cone) at higher volumes and ensures an extremely transient response to playback in deepest regions.

The installation position can be adjusted over a wide range.
Using the 5 programmable EQ, a flexible adaptation to various room situations is also possible.

Wilson Benesch Endeavour Loudspeaker

£25500

The Endeavour Loudspeaker

Named in honour of Captain Cook’s British Royal Naval vessel the HMS Endeavour; The Endeavour loudspeaker draws it’s design dialogue from the flagship Cardinal. Featuring a geometrically optimised carbon composite top, an identical alloy baffle profile, identical spine and the same silk black aerospace finishing.

The Endeavour is constructed from Wilson Benesch’s own in-house designed and manufactured drive technologies. Deployed in a totally unique arrangement, one midrange Tactic-II drive unit sits directly above the Semisphere Tweeter, with a set of Tactic-II bass drive units mounted to the huge aluminium base on the underside of the enclosure, which work together in an Isobaric Drive.

Carbon-Nanotech Enclosure

Whilst the Endeavour is ground breaking in many respects, its crowning achievement might well lay directly behind the midrange drive unit. The Endeavour introduces the world’s first Carbon-Nanotech Enclosure which houses the midrange drive unit. Born from research carried out in partnership with the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre in Sheffield. The Carbon-Nanotech Enclosure is a huge breakthrough in high performance loudspeaker design.

No expense has been spared across the Endeavour; each 1.47-meter high channel weighs in at 100-kg. The huge Isobaric Drive mounts via its own specially designed aluminium housing, which in turn sits in a beautifully tapered alloy base upon which the carbon composite monocoque and spine locate. Carbon fibre detailing extends beyond the A.C.T. Monocoque and beautifully sculptural top, with carbon fibre ports to the rear and underside of the speaker.

Every last detail exudes the quality and refined luxury that has become the hallmark of Wilson Benesch. The Endeavour is a stunning example of British High End loudspeaker design.

Philosophy
In many areas the 560 D/A-Converter is based on the same proven technical solutions used in the 745 SACD-Player. It also embodies the same principles in its design: top grade digital interfaces for optimal reception of the music data, a super-precise master clock generator to avoid jitter, intelligent digital signal processing with oversampling technology, and analogue output stages of top end preamplifier quality.

Design
As with its Series 7 sibling the 560 D/A-Converter is packed with cutting-edge technology with one objective - the love of music. The parallels include a consistent dual mono design in the output stages and separate power supplies for digital electronics and the analogue stages. The 560 D/A-Converter adds a digital volume control that allows direct connection to a power amplifier.

Upsampling
Audio data is buffered then upsampled to 24Bit/384kHz. We believe precision of interpolation is more important than high clock rates. Our players and D/A converters use an algorithm from the highly regarded Anagram Technologies followed by Burr Brown D/A converters in a digital symmetric configuration. As we consider the PCM conversion technology as superior, the DSD signals get converted before its final D/A conversion.

Zero phase technology
The Zero-Phase-Technology eliminates potential timing/phase errors in the analog output signal. Every D/A converter requires an analog low pass filter in its output in order to suppress high frequency noise and aliasing signals. The 560's 3rd order bessel filter, with a cut-off frequency of 120kHz, does show a phase shift of up to 15° in the audio band. Due to the Zero-Phase-Technology the phase error of the analog music signal remains below 1°, 20Hz - 100kHz! The Zero-Phase-Technology brings you even closer to the beauty of the source material! No detail gets lost.

D/A-conversion
Burr-Brown devices perform D/A conversion only. Their internal upsampling and filter stages are not used. The output currents are converted to voltage and then filtered. With an internal bandwidth of 40 MHz, this current/voltage conversion stage allows best signal-to-noise performance and maximum dynamics in the analogue domain.

Output stage
The wideband output stage of the 560 D/A-Converter has a bandwidth of 20MHz (-3dB). With such speed of response all musical details are reproduced true to life creating a three-dimensional, spatial sound to bring real listening pleasure.

Operation
The 560 D/A-Converter is operated from front-panel buttons and a rotary control. Further functions can be used to optimise and match an entire audio system around different components.

Silberstatic Nr. 8

€40000

We are pleased to present you at the HIGH END 2014 the newest Silberstatic loudspeaker as a world premiere.

The all new Silberstatic Nr. 8 has been optimized in all areas on highest level and is showing a breathtaking and unique design. With a height of 218 cm and a width of 65 cm it has an impressive appearance and is a life-sized sculpture at the same time. Just as well awesome is the sound-painting this exceptional loudspeaker is drawing into the room. Already the first impression reveals exquisite tonal qualities and it does not have to fear the competition of any other speaker in the world.

Responsible for these outstanding speakers is a small German manufactory with its highly motivated team under the direction of company’s founder Mr. Dirk Jesberger.

During years of research and testing Mr. Jesberger succeeded in overcoming the difficulties of regular electrostatic speakers. In this way his full-range Silberstatics generate a real bass and do not need lots of power so they can be audiophile driven even by tube-amplifiers.

JoSound RA

The Ra is the result of a unique collaboration between two companies and loudspeaker designers. It's conception was as a result of a wish by JoSound to manufacture a horn loaded loudspeaker to top its range of products.

But unusually for JoSound's chief designer and managing director, Joe Jouhal, instead of immediately embarking on the design himself, he contacted his good friend and drive unit supplier Inès Adler of Voxativ in Berlin. Joe had long been impressed by Voxativ's drive units and Acoustic Stealth Technology (AST) which, without any performance sacrifice, resulted in horn dimensions that were significantly smaller than of traditional designs (Voigt, Crabbe, Olson, Klipsch , Dinsdale etc.). Inès in turn had also been impressed by the quality of JoSound's designs and especially the quality of manufacture and finish.

The result is a horn loaded, single driver loudspeaker cabinet, branded as "Voxativ by JoSound", that will accept any of Voxativ's excellent drive units.

In effect Ra is not a single model but a complete range with a built in simple upgrade path. It can be bought with the entry level AC 1.5 drivers which can be replaced with any other driver in the Voxativ range all the way up to the legendary Permadur based AC-Xp field coil driver.

At its world debut with the AC 1.5 driver at HighEnd 2013 in Munich, the world renowned recording maestro Giulio Cesare Ricci, the founder of Fonè Records, spent considerable time listening to numerous recordings that he had made himself. Speaking to Joe Jouhal after his audition he stated "there two types of high end loudspeakers, ones that do sound reproduction and the second that is a real window into the heart and soul of the music and these are some of the clearest windows that I have had the pleasure of viewing my music through. Bravo!"

At the New Music Belgian hifi show, equipped with the wooden coned AC 4a AlNico driver and fronted by modest electronics, many listeners, including exhibitors of much more expensive products, acclaimed Ra "best in show".

Ra is offered in four standard models equipped with either the AC 1.6, AC 2.5, AC 4a or the AC-X field coil drivers. All other Voxativ drivers can be supplied by special request.
