Burmester - 40 years of nothing but the best
The new 159 Mono Blocks are Burmester’s most powerful amplifier ever built. The original concept, first shown at the Munich High-End show in 2016, was much more similar to the 909s in design. Like all Burmester products, they go through a concept phase then eventually over years of hard work come to the open market and into the hands of Burmester’s loyal customers and those looking for the best. We expect these new amplifiers to ship in 2018.
The 159’s are not as tall as the 909 but are much more substantial in stature being much deeper and very much heavier, estimated at 300+ lbs.
A fascinating design element is a sliding top on the 159’s. In order to power on the unit, you slide the massively heavy top towards the back, exposing the power lever and all the multiple damping factor settings of this world first design. Grab a hold of the power handle, something you would expect to see on a space ship, and you pull the lever forward to turn on the power that is the Burmester 159.
These Mono-blocks were design of Dieters that he had been working on for years, I recall getting a phone call from Dieter back in the winter of 2011 while I was enjoying the snow in Whistler, he was so excited to tell me about the epiphany he had and how amazing this great new design was going to be. The amazing team of engineers at Burmester were able to complete on this project.

Burmester 101 Integrated Amplifier
The 101 Integrated Amplifier is the latest integrated amplifier in the Burmester product range and a supreme example for the perfect combination of efficient class D power sections and an analogue power supply. With its power reserves thus made available the 101 easily achieves in a compact design the warm and well-balanced sound which is known to be a trademark of the Burmester tone. The switchable "Smooth“ function produces a rounded and detailed sound image even with low volume levels.
Within the Burmester sound world the 101 integrated amplifier commends itself as a perfect game partner for the 102 CD player, notably when combined with the loudspeakers from the Burmester portfolio. The additional balanced outputs also allow to use it as a dedicated preamp or upgrade it with external power amps at a later time.
As you would expect it from Burmester, the 101 also features a balanced circuit layout and is DC-coupled, meaning it dispenses entirely with distorting coupling capacitors in the signal path.

Burmester 111 Reference Music Server
$70000
The new Reference Line Music Server convinces not only by its excellent sound quality, but also by the extremely fast processing of even very large data sets. The local player is both about the device, via the web browser, and via handheld devices such as iPad with a specially developed Burmester Darfur app to be controlled.
Streaming over WLAN is also possible. On the integrated drive slot, an existing CD collection in the highest possible quality to rip it. Were not deposited album art and track information are added automatically to a comparison with the database. Due to the forward error correction (FEC) of only a few seconds for audio CD drives, there is the possibility that older or scratched CD went to an audio data stream that includes sporadic dropouts. Without appropriate countermeasures can thus reduce the noise listening.
