Adyton Air Ribbon Supertweeter

Properly done this supertweeter improves your soundstage and imagine and gives much more air into the soundstage and even improves mid- and low frequency definition.

It is important to ensure that the distance from the tweeter in your speaker will have exactly the same distance to your ear as this super tweeter. Even one mm is important! When that is done, try to find what polarity of the super tweeter that gives best summation of the both.

Next, try to super adjust the distance of the super tweeter to give best total sound. Normally it is expected that the super tweeter is 6-12mm behind the original tweeter due to phase shift at high frequency of the original tweeter in your speaker. Then you have to adjust correct crossover frequency of the super tweeter and also adapt the sensitivity.

Technical data:

Sensitivity 93dB/1w

Adjustable 6 steps each -1 dB

Frequency response 10k-100kHz -6dB

Adjustable from 17k-22kHz in 6 steps

Tobian SC1 Reference Preamplifier

The SC1…completely legal happiness drug.

Our new SC1 is a real five ★★★★★ transformer coupled Reference preamplifier. The SC1 is completely hand wired (point to point) and all components were newly developed especially for the SC1.

For example; the new line output transformer with over 350 henrys is unique on the market!

Very good audio line out transformers transmit up to 95% of the original power of a triode; in watts!

Transformer coupling advantages however depend on the quality of the line out transformer and of course on the choice of tubes, like the legendary Directly Heated Triode 300b or 801a which we install in SC1.

As transformers are the essential part in each device and depending on their quality final result depend, we at Tobian Soundsystems do not want to leave anything to chance, so we decided to manufacture transformers ourselves.

After many hours spend on research and development and numerous comparisons and tests, we decided to use the best core material "M-core and E-core super-Permalloy". The result is an unprecedented audio line out transformer with a very wide and flexible frequency response ranging from 10Hz to 30kHz square wave.

This low-distortion and ultra-musical line out output transformer is the ideal partner for our new SC1 and has helped us to bring to life this exceptional preamplifier.

Tungsten Grooves Vibration Isolation Feet

Introducing a whole new class of vibration isolation feet, designed specifically to remove and neutralise micro vibrations from your HiFi components and the surroundings.

Every Tungsten Grooves foot is precision engineered using premium materials carefully refined in over three years of product development.

Improve your sound quality, transform the sound stage, lower the base, hear hidden detail.

Simple To Install and Remove

There is no need to remove the manufacturer’s existing feet from your component as the feet are designed to sit in full contact with your component’s chassis and your hifi furniture.

Simply place your Tungsten Grooves isolation feet under your component and adjust their positioning until you have achieved the optimal effect for your component.

Making these one of the easiest and quickest upgrades to install in your setup.

Our Patented Design

Tungsten Grooves have now been granted a patent which protects the design and its unique powder containing central chamber. This means that there is nothing else out there like it.

You can find out more about what makes our vibration isolation feet so special here.

We continue to innovate with a number of other products currently in the research and development phase.

How They Work

Tungsten is a very dense non-magnetic metal that has been long revered for its vibration absorbing properties being used in everything from aircraft wings to rivet guns for its dampening effect.

We have fine tuned the alloy composition for the end plates. Leading to what we now consider to be the best balance of opening up the sound stage whilst improving other characteristics such as warmth and base.

The central aircraft grade stainless steel chamber is filled with a fine tungsten powder where the particles are carefully calibrated for size that absorb vibration across a wide range of frequencies leveraging a phenomenon known as particle dampening.

The D70-H33 is the smaller of the two models currently available, measuring in at 70mm diameter, 33mm high and a weight of 1.4kg. It has the same design as its bigger brother but with a smaller tungsten alloy top plate.

When choosing which of these two models you need to consider the height of gap under your component between the chassis and the shelf, as well as the space available above the component in your rack. If the height of the gap is more than 33mm you will need to choose the D70-H47 model to avoid removing the manufacturer supplied feet.

Weighing in at over 3kg each, the D70-H47 – the bigger brother of the D70-H33 – has been affectionally code-named ‘fat boy’ by our founder and its designer Paul Fowler.

The fat boy offers a greater height clearance of 47mm for components where it’s needed. Height clearance is not the only reason for choosing this model if your budget will stretch to it.

It out performs the D70-H33 due to the increased volume of the tungsten alloy present.

Born Electronic FM Acoustics Modules

If you have problems with FM Acoustics Module, contact us. All modules from older devices are available.

Normal faults with the FM modules are cracking, scratching, total failure, sporadic intermittent faults or undefinable states of the output signal. Modules were carefully reproduced by us from the original module.

The parts used correspond to a much higher standard than modules from 20 years ago or older. The modules 19010, 19003, 19004 shown are built into the FM 801, FM 801A, FM 611 or 811, 100% plug and play.

Modules 19003 & 19004 are from the FM236 crossovers. Every other module is now available in original quality at really fair prices, about 80-90% cheaper.

Norse Acoustics news

Recent development has led us to the decision that Norse Acoustics Goddess line will be fully active speakers only.

We have all plans ready for our Goddess line which will consist of three models when the lineup is complete. Our goal is to offer the most accurate speakers on the market within their size and format. They will also cost a lot of money……..unfortunately.

On the other hand, put up against a traditional High-End setup, they will be a bargain. We are talking pistonic, low distortion drivers and transparent electronics. These models were already planned, but we decided to drop the passive and semi-active versions. Below you can see the design study for the largest model. We call it Frigg.

Unfortunately, Goddess series will probably not be available until Q4 2020, but it will be worth the wait.

There are lower cost alternatives in the pipeline where most of the ‘R’ has been done, and they are in line for the ‘D’. (R-Research, D-Development)

What about enthusiasts looking for analog and/or passive solutions?
We have some exiting news to show you in a short while. But it will not be Norse Acoustics brand……

PS! Please be aware that the pictures are not the final product. It’s very close in shape and size, but the final version will have different drivers, and some very nice details that we have not implemented yet.
