The bequadro (R) loudspeaker system, operate with modified dipolar functionality, the system is offered for hi-end stereo systems, or multi-channel sound application.

Unpublished scalar system, based on 4 sizes of base speakers, called bequadro (bequadro one, two, three and four) which plans to upgrade with side extenders (SMES, scalar mutual extension system) called gravis, and two types of central vox channels (vox alpha and beta). All the systems are dipolar.

Bequadro is presented as a listening experience, rather than a product itself, and is based on precise specifications: absence of listening fatigue, substantial enjoyment of the musical program, even outside of the canonical session (which otherwise obliges the listener not to do more ... than to listen), astonished correctness timbre, high dynamic capacity, possibility of upgrade (SMES (R), possibility of use in medians positions (complete emission also posteriorly) typical conditions into open space living room.

Technically, use of broadband electrodynamic loudspeakers, assisted by a constant directivity horn, drived by a particular dipolar speaker (HDPP VREL (R) for the high range.

Units used: 2 or 3 10 "or 15" units, VREL 255 and 385, depending on the model, and same high HDPP unit for all types.

All speakers are built by VREL, handmades and tuned in our facility, with features and peculiarities also in course of patent, to adapt perfectly to the dipolar emission requirements.

The body wood structure is built with customized poplar sheets glued with alkyd resins (no conventional multilayer is used). External finishes with precious woods, natural finished not colored, have only aesthetic functions, various finishes and colors available, even for the front panels and the grids.

Bequadro is also an interesting product in the professional field, for reinforcement, for monitoring and for cinema, theaters or auditoriums.

A for Ara

A for Ara is our best attempt at honoring the art of home hifi. While quite pleasing for the eye, all our systems are made for the ear first, because ultimately we close our eyes and just listen.

Our solid hardwood horns are a rather lovely instantiation of form following function: they act as coupling devices, doing for sound what a lens does for light (metaphorically speaking).

Ara means altar, and with our speakers we aim to encourage devotion: active listening, giving our whole selves over to music.

We currently have three floor-standing systems, from small to large. All systems are made in limited editions, and we're also happy doing custom work.

Tchernov Cable Reference DSC SC

The latest evolution of our flagship speaker cable builds on the ground-breaking DSC (Distributed Symmetric Conductor, Patent RU No.2652382U) architecture.

The signal transmission is carried out by two lines consisting of three similar conductors, configured around a central damping SPVC cord in a hexagonal structure 3+3+1 with a maximum packing factor. The phase (L) and neutral (N) conductors are aligned in an alternating ring circuit.

DSC enables the highest possible group wave speed, significant EMI reduction and better noise immunity up to 20-40 dB compared to an ordinary conductor. Reduced irradiation determines low and constant impedance in a wider frequency range and guarantees near-to-ideal amplifier-speaker matching regardless of design ethos and specifications.

Phant Audio ABV Turntable

The ABV record player is a idler-drive unit, conceived and created as an upgrade for the classic German Elac Miracord 50H players. These players are well known to many music lovers around the world. For their more than 50-year history, they deserve the status of cult, and still delight their fans with a special drive, rhythm and musicality. Unfortunately, with all the advantages, in stock performance, they have a number of restrictions that this upgrade proposes to eliminate.

The upgrade includes the following steps. A heavy, resonant 80 mm birch plywood plinth, covered with veneer, comes to replace the standard case. The player loses all parts of automation and regular ton arm; switching on and off is now done via a speed selector. A plate milled from 4 mm of duralumin is added to the standard panel of steel 2 mm. The resulting sandwich is tied to the skirting mass, it has excellent rigidity and effectively suppresses resonances in a wide range. Rubber parts of a regular engine mount are replaced with products made of sorbotan - a unique elastic material combining the functions of both springs and shock absorber, which now adsorb engine vibrations, isolating them from penetration into the sound signal. The picture is completed by a new tonearm (at the customer’s choice),

The result is the transition of a talented veteran in the higher sound league. We developed a new driver unit to realize sufficient low frequency while it is fully open. Adopting a neodymium magnet with strong magnetic energy. By thinning the thickness of the diaphragm until durability permits it, it has become possible to express precise sound accurately.


Full Open Structure without housing adopts a fully open housing that does not cause excessive resonance or resonance. Symetrica is a 3 section ‘balanced’ or ‘symmetrical’ output power supply for high end domestic audio system use. It features a single mains supply input via a Neutrik 32amp Powercon locking connection, with a very low electrical impedance power cable supplied also using a Furutech 1363G (gold plated alpha pure copper) mains plug (UK).

This is a balanced power circuit which would apply to the USA. In the UK, the overall voltage is 240 volts and each power line carries 120 volts as opposed to 60 volts. Note how the reactive elements, the unwanted interference is cancelled out within the transformer.


Connectivity:

It is intended for the Symetrica Balanced Power Supply to be in circuit between the wall outlet and ALL audio devices within the system. The rear outlet sockets are numbered 1-10 which correspond to the following, depending on configuration requested at time of ordering:

Configuration A: Sockets 1 and 2 are fed by 1 x 300va balanced transformer - used to connect all digital equipment.

Sockets 3 and 4 are fed by the 2nd 300va balanced transformer - used to connect analogue source components, including the phono amplifier.

Sockets 5-10 are fed by the 1.5 - 2Kva balanced output transformer- used to connect the main gain stages, i.e., power amplifiers/s, pre-amplifiers and sub-woofers, powered loudspeakers, integrated amplifiers, etc.

Configuration B: Sockets 1, 2 and 3 are fed by 1 x 300va balanced transformer, and - used to connect all digital equipment.

Sockets 4, 5 and 6 are fed by the 2nd 300va balanced transformer - used to connect analogue source components including the phono amplifier.

Sockets 7-10 are fed by the 1.5 - 2Kva balanced output transformer - used to connect the main gain stages, i.e., power amplifiers/s, pre-amplifiers, subwoofers, powered loudspeakers, integrated amplifiers, etc.

• Phono amplifiers will benefit being fed from the 2nd 300va (sockets 3&4 or 4,5&6 depending on configuration specified at point of order).

• 3 x Current output display’s in red, one for each output section / transformer circuit.

• Voltage and current displays are able to be switched off via a high quality top mounted pushbutton switch.

• Output fuse status display LED’s in green indicate full function of all live pins of the output sockets. These indicators remain on when the voltage and current meters are switched to off.

The Sutherland Phono Loco balanced MC phono preamplifier is crazy. Really. It hasn't any loading options. Its input voltage is zero and never changes. It completely ignores any regard for traditional marketing and promotion. Why? Phono Loco remains focused on one goal and one goal alone: Optimal performance that takes analog playback into stratospheric realms of realism, resolution, intimacy, naturalism, openness, tonality, expressiveness, and, in particular, effortlessness.

Engineer Ron Sutherland approached the U.S.A.-built Phono Loco with complete off-the-chain freedom, utterly disregarding convention and standards. Unlike anything else available, it is a specialized transimpedance unit – meaning Phono Loco looks like a virtual short to the input signal. The input current gets multiplied by the gain (in ohms) to produce an output voltage correspondent to the input current. The advantages relate to its elimination of clutter and its perfectionist-refined circuitry.

By design, Phono Loco demands a balanced input signal as the circuitry requires both connections from the cartridge could to float with respect to ground. You won't find any bending, patching, or compromising in Phono Loco so it would be able to tolerate a single-ended signal.
