The Wavedream has been our statement for the last 10 years, the foundation of our reputation. It is now time to begin a new chapter, but what can be done to improve a great product?
A mere facelift does not cut it for such a legend. We had to go beyond expectations.
We had to improve the chassis structure and mitigate vibrations.
We had to rethink the internal layout for shorter critical traces and tighter impedance control.
We had to add a touchscreen and update the graphics, to complement the physical remote with mobile control apps.
We had to seamlessly integrate a high-performance network renderer and refine the algorithms that define the sound signature.
We had to redesign the R2R modules for more bits, less distortion and a lower noise floor.
Because when we wrote MK2 on the Wavedream, it had to be special, it had to unveil the soul of a digital source to conserve the analogue physicality of music.
