Ypsilon Aelius II
Only the name remains the same AELIUS II is a push-pull hybrid monoblock power amplifier using only two gain stages with no overall feedback providing power to drive real world speakers with unmatched transparency and musical involvement.
The first gain stage uses a tube in single-ended class A operation, transformer coupled to the output stage. It is unusual practice to implement an inter-stage transformer in a solid state or even hybrid amplifier. With the transformer two tasks are achieved. Perfect phase splitting and low impedance drive. Thus no need to use an additional intermediate amplifying stage, so transparency and purity of the signal is preserved.
We developed under extensive listening tests and measurements a special transformer for this purpose with a very wide bandwidth of 10-75 KHz. The bandwidth of the transformer defines also that of the amplifier.
In AELIUS II a recently developed input transformer is added that extends the purity of the signal path even further. It also gives the opportunity of a balanced input in the amplifier, adding versatility of using longer interconnect cables.
The output stage uses components of the same polarity (N-channel), working in the same topology. The output of the amplifier is symmetrical so both output connectors, plus, minus, carry signal in opposite phase.
Great attention was paid also in the power supply design. It uses high current inductors for smooth and quiet filtering.
The output stage is self-stable, eliminating the need to use servo circuits for adjusting dc offset. Both outputs, plus and minus carry signal in opposite phase.

Holton Audio Ex Nihilo mono amplifier
$29000 /pr
The Ex Nihilo mono block class AB power amplifier is the result of more than 20 years of uninterrupted research conducted by Anthony E. Holton and Holton Audio in the field of high fidelity audio electronics. As the first member of a new product line integrating the most recent technological advances, Ex Nihilo was conceived from an idea to produce a no compromise power amplifier that could drive any HiFi loudspeaker in the known world. In order to achieve this, the Ex Nihilo power amplifier will drive 2 ohm loads with ease and do this at a continuous power outpu
The audio engine printed circuit board is a true mono block fully balanced topology construction with the entire power supply, protection and audio amplifier circuitry built into a 2mm 2 ounce copper gold plate board. The high current power supply feeding the output stage has two high current SMD bridge rectifiers feeding two banks of 48 low ESR filter capacitors for a total filtering capacitance of 225,000 μF. The input driver stage also has its own electronically regulated power supply. This provides extreme electrical isolation from the high current output stage pulses. The two electronic regulators feeding the input driver stages have their own dedicated and isolated secondary winding and bridge rectifier filter bank, providing a well-regulated and isolated power supply for the best possible sound quality.
The main audio amplifier uses 12 x 250 Watt dual die lateral MOSFETs in each output stage to transfer the enormous DC reservoir to the loudspeaker load. The Ex Nihilo is a true DC direct coupled power amplifier with no audio capacitor anywhere in the signal path including the feedback network.
In addition to this the Ex Nihilo power amplifier uses a DC Servo in its feedback network to correct DC offset to practically zero volts. Protection for the amplifier is managed by a smart power controller in conjunction with a 120 amp solid state relay on the output of the power amplifier for seamless protection and noiseless power up and power down modes.
The mono block cases are exclusively built out of 10 mm aerospace grade aluminium alloy panels. The unique anti vibration designed case harbor's a 2.5 kVA fully shielded encapsulated toroidal transformer, placed on its own patented double isolated mezzanine system. Together with a third isolation level, this system cancels out any acoustic noise. The two 400 mm heat sinks insure an optimal heat transfer and allow driving the amplifier at low temperatures at any power.
Each mono block amplifier is supplied with its own pro audio road case.

Vienna Physix Divina
The horn is radiating the high frequency range, and a 18cm bass-reflex system the bass, while the bass is transmitted by a 7 inch speaker mounted in a vented enclosure.
The woofer has excellent properties such as completely new designed magnet system which halves the distortion below 100 Hz.
In comparison to other products, even the maximum stroke of the bass membrane is unmatched in this class, and a guarantee for clean, dynamic sound!
The tweeter, with its coated silk diaphragm, is integrated in a soft horn so called Waveguide. This guarantees a stable stereo image even under adverse ambient conditions.
The production of the elaborate housing are carried out on high precision processing machines. For the stabilization of the housing walls we developed a three-layer sandwich construction of damping and mass elements.
As in our flagship, the DIVA Grandezza, we use for the frequency separating filter components from the company Jantzen Audio.
Case: composite material made of 19 mm MDF, 3mm steel insert, 3 mm bitumen heavy sheet and hollow fiber insulation.
Crossover(frequency separating filter): 12 db design, if desired ( on request) impedance linearization for Tube amplifiers, which is recommended especially in single-ended mode.
The bass reflex duct flow at the bottom of the housing in the striking distance of the woofer diaphragm. This enhance, the coupling between the Woofer diaphragm and the bass reflex port.
Multi-layer rack: The stand is part of the acoustic concept of the Divina.
The sandwich construction (steel-polymer composite MDF) prevents resonances reliable. The upper cross brace is used as a re-deflector of the bass reflex port.
