Andromeda Design XPE loudspeakers
Andromeda design currently makes one loudspeaker model
This is a real full range soundmachine, with virtually no loss of output at 20 HZ and extending to well above 20 kHz, no subwoofers needed with this model, it will play at very high SPL s without noticeable distortion, which was/is a design goal
This model can be ordered with 2 different types of tweeters, one is a softdome and one is a ringradiator soft dome tweeter
The previous has a straight output on axxis of well over 20 kHz, and the latter has a gradual downslope to about -3 db at 20 kHz
We prefer a -3 db downslope
Freq response is +- 1,5 db 400 hz 13 kHz, measured at 1/6 oct and this is a average room response not measured in an anechoic situation in which we dont listen anyway
Bass extension/tuning is largely done by wooferspecs/volume and expirience, the woofers fire sideways in mirror image
There are 2 finishes, one is the finish shown in the picture, the other one is a model which has beautiful thin wooden inlays in the side of the speaker, virtually any colour can be implemented
The first is 2 times spraypainted/polished, the second is 7 times spraypainted/polished to a mirror finish
Dimensions are incl footers: height 1345 mm wide 300 mm deep 670 mm , with sloping front front for improved dispersion
The speakers come with professional wooden packaging and can be wheeled out of the crate
Price is 49.900 euro a pair and the luxury version is 53.200 euro a pair these are consumer prices incl VAT
Those who are after a natural, highly accurate, real full range soundexpirience will enjoy the XPE loudspeakerdesign
Designed to compete with anything on the market regardless of price ( comparable systemsize/membranesurface )
This design is a ultra stiff /non resonant monocoque, 4 way loudspeaker in MTM configuration
Its made from 40 mm HPL solid plates (phenolic resin composite) over 250 kg a piece , braced inside with HPL as well
The mid- unit membranes are made of stiff propietary natural fibers which have a natural presentation
The woofers are made in Germany and are 11 inch, 12 inch respectively, stiff non resonant membranes with a natural presentation, and a very low resonance freq
Tweeters used are multiple in this design as described elsewhere , but as with all other components are chosen for their excellent specs and natural presentation never harsh, always without any listening fatigue
The speakers stand on top of the line finite element cerabase classic devices, 70 mm wide at the bottom so they will not leave an imprint on solid wooden floors, distortion through speaker resonance has become a thing of the past with the XPE design at whatever SPL
Regarding basstuning for different environments /rooms , the bassreflex system consists of 2 pipes which can be used as a whole or used seperately, one can either use the short or long version, for difficult environments the system can function as a closed system in which the reflex opening can be closed all together
The bassreflex pipes are machined out of high grade aluminium alloy and then clear anodized
Another design feature what we practice is aiming at a high overall efficiency +- 93 db and high impedance X over design
The XPE ls is therefore easy to drive and will show its full potential with 18-20 watts minimum , making it a good partner for lamm set amps 18 watt
Or any 18 watt amp or higher rated power/integrated amplifier, be it tube or solid state, we currently use Convergent pre /poweramp with KT 120 tubes
It is has been tested with 300 B(8 watts) amplification but feel just a little short on control/dynamics

Bryston BLP-1
$3995
Never say never. Even one year ago, Bryston said we would never build a turntable. What changed?
While developing the new phono preamplifier models BMC and BMM, the wide bandwidth and low distortion of our new gain stages reminded us how breathtaking
and fresh ‘high resolution’ vinyl playback can be. So we turned next to the source.
Each feature represents an effort to engineer remarkably accurate vinyl playback by holding exceptional speed stability and mitigating resonances.
One such feature is the included Bryston BTP-1, a Bryston designed pulse width modulation power supply which powers the BLP-1 motor and holds it to
exceptionally accurate 33 ⅓ and 45 RPM.
Other features include:
Tonearm featuring seven-segment titanium arm tube with integrated headshell is virtually immune to cantilever borne vibration
Belt drive with on-board PWM synchronous low speed / high torque motor achieves perfect belt tension and coupling to platter without added noise.
Innovative hardened carbon-steel spindle and ultra hard bronze bearing polished to 0.02mm tolerance
Dense 35mm thick Delrin® platter with integrated record mat damps non-musical vibration yet preserves incredible detail
Unique vented plinth both eliminates platter turbulence and prevents vibration from reaching the bearing

Bauta speakers
Bauta is a 3-way passive loudspeaker with an additional active subwoofer. The idea behind the design was to build a full range high-end system capable of faithful sound reproduction of recorded music, while also serving as a tool for audio engineers specialising in music mastering where critical judgment is crucial. Therefore we did not compromise in the creation of Bauta loudspeakers.
Heavily braced sealed enclosures were designed with no parallel walls inside, thus eliminating the problem of standing waves. The cabinet consists of 3 parts - the subwoofer covering the subsonic frequencies, the C shape bass segment responsible for reproducing the bass frequencies, and the satellite, which handles the mids and highs. In order to eliminate vibrations, each segment was physically spaced from each other and internally damped with laboratory tested and patent protected material.
Our flagship loudspeaker brings together a series of reference components within an exceptional cabinet design. The finest quality materials are utilised throughout starting with crossover circuits that use only the finest capacitors and inductors. We employ the best quality drivers, as well as very rigid and dense MDF specially handpicked for our enclosures. We take pride in both the art and science of engineering. Our approach is to push both technical and artistic boundaries further at each stage of the design and production processes. Our system has been optimised to provide the most accurate performance possible. In order to achieve perfect transient response, we use only sealed enclosures for all our loudspeakers.
Understanding the importance of the driver's acoustic centres, their time/phase alignment is one of the key issues properly applied in Bauta loudspeakers. We conducted extensive laboratory tests and achieved sample accurate time alignment measurements of the drivers at the “sweet spot” listening position. To achieve this, we tilted the bass drivers and shifted the tweeter back accordingly. These measurements also determined the unusual shape of the enclosure.
The visual appearance has been enriched with a combination of ebony and high-gloss black piano finish. The addition of the unique arc-shaped sides results in a highly sophisticated and original design. The combined effect of all this precision engineering, technical innovation and exceptional look brings together the perfect loudspeaker.

HIGH END 2016 –Confusion
Confusion was caused by a rumour that has been spread again and again since 2015, claiming that the HIGH END will be changing venue, or that the MOC building is, apparently, to be torn down.
During the press conference on the Thursday, managing director Mr Branko Glisovic issued another, official and unequivocal declaration stating that not only
will the MOC building will be left untouched, but that the HIGH END trade fair has also secured its place in the MOC for years to come and any rumours to this effect are clearly fabricated.
They have obviously been fuelled by the purchase of a property in the immediate vicinity by a well-known Bayerische Motoren Werk company.

Kharma Enigma Veyron EV-5
System features
The loudspeaker cabinets are constructed out of 5-axis CNC-milled Bullet wood parts to not only create the absolute High-End audio experience but at the same time to also evoke a feeling of true beauty while listening.
Although the construction is massive it is still very elegant. The speakers are decoupled from the surrounding by a minimum contact surface created with Carborundum balls placed on Diamonds. The new spike disk suspension system is fully integrated into all Enigma Veyron loudspeakers. The combination of the hardness, shape and acoustical properties of the materials used, have realized the ultimate freedom of resonances.
This is one example of how Kharma has pushed the limits for each component of the Enigma Veyron system. The sound representation and aesthetical beauty is overwhelming and certainly beyond imagination.
Drivers
The bass and midrange section of the Veyron are formed by the exclusive Kharma Omega F Drivers. The F stands for 0-Foucault currents, which is a novelty in the audio world, because for the first time no iron is used in the magnet motor-system, avoiding any interaction. Normally the voice coil induces a Foucault-current into the iron parts and that current induces back distortion into the driver-coil, which will distort the original signal by definition. This is now completely gone and the result is a higher resolution, more micro and macro dynamics, faster transients, more richer spectrum of tonal variations from the music itself, more natural, explosive and realistic sounding.
